Does the J+ BOOSTER 2 automatically adjust charging power?
 

Yes. The BOOSTER 2 automatically detects the amperage capability of the connected adapter and adjusts the power output for safe and efficient charging. You can also manually reduce the charging power at any time with a simple press of the button on the unit.

What outlets can I use with the J+ BOOSTER 2?
 

It comes with NEMA 14-50 and 5-15 adapters, and optional adapters are available for 6-50, TT-30, 5-20, 6-15, 6-20, L5-30, and SS2-50 outlets, making it compatible with nearly any power source.

How fast does it charge an EV?
 

Charging speed depends on the outlet and vehicle. Below is a general guide for estimated miles of range added per hour of charging:

120V Outlets

  • NEMA 5-15: 15A outlet / 12A charge / about 5 miles per hour
  • NEMA 5-20: 20A outlet / 16A charge / about 10 miles per hour
  • NEMA TT-30: 30A outlet / 24A charge / about 15 miles per hour

240V Outlets

  • NEMA 6-15: 15A outlet / 12A charge / about 15 miles per hour
  • NEMA 6-20: 20A outlet / 16A charge / about 20 miles per hour
  • NEMA 14-50 or 6-50: 50A outlet / 40A charge / about 40 miles per hour
Is the J+ BOOSTER 2 waterproof and safe for outdoor use?
 

Yes. It is IP67 rated, meaning it can be safely used outdoors in rain, snow, or dust without risk of damage.

Do I need an app or Wi-Fi connection to use it?
 

No. The J+ BOOSTER 2 is completely self-contained. Just plug it in and start charging. No app or network connection is required for proper operation.

What vehicles are compatible with the J+ BOOSTER 2?
 

The J+ BOOSTER 2 works with any EV that uses the J1772 standard plug. Tesla owners can use it with a Tesla or NACS adapter.

Does the J+ BOOSTER 2 come with a warranty?
 

Yes. Every J+ BOOSTER 2 includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty and full support from the J+ Americas customer service team.

Can I lock the J+ BOOSTER 2 to prevent theft?
